Default GDI intake valve cleaners

Just saw these two at Oreillys. Anyone used these on their Eco?

Do you have a bore scope? You could take before and after pics.

I don't have one. I only have 21k miles. Not sure if mine would even have build up. Just curious for future use. The Seafoam has a hollow "hook" that gets sandwiched between the throttle body and intake boot. You then slide the straw in and spray directly in front of the throttle plate. It says safe for turbos but not sure about that.

I would be very cautious with sea foam. There are a couple of you tube videos.

Why is that? I've never had a problem with using it.

I would not do anything until Ford releases info on proper cleaning. There been several people who have had issues with it causing damage.

I've heard of the regular seafoam causing the turbos to overheat. But I'm not certain if this is the same chemical.

On a side note, is it possible to change this related thread crap? It's annoying as hell.

It's not just overheating, lossened carbon deposits can impact the wheels and damage them

Looks to me that the only real way to clean the intake ports on a turbo charged DI motor like the ecoboost is walnut blasting. You have to remove the intake manifolds and blast the chamber with the valves closed.

Does Ford offer a service like this yet?
