Default gas smell in oil

Gas smell in Oil, was checking plug gaps other day. Had to take off oil fill cap and smelt gas. pulled dipstick and it smelt like gas as well. Truck has been running fine. I normally run 89oct, i filled up with 93oct this last time. usually do it about once every few months with no issues. I am running a SCT Livewire ST canned 87oct tune. have been for 5 or so months. just had oil changed when i got new tires about 400 miles ago or 2/3 weeks, the tire place said nothing about the gas smell.

I normally do my own oil but since i needed new tires i figured i'd just have them do it. this was 2 days ago. truck is still running good. tomorrow i plan on checking it again.

2011 FX4 Ecoboost with 34,500 warranty about to run out so figures it would break. also fogs are lined with moisture

well i re-gaped the plugs and truck is running better.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

True. I'm getting mixed answers. Should I run it or rake it in?

Pretty normal for an eco but after only 400 miles that's surprising.

Not really, depending on how far he went on the previous oil change and how much gas was in the old oil.......and the big one.....did the mechanic take the time to make sure all the old oil drained?
To the OP.....direct injection engines, especially turbo'd ones do have a gas smell to the oil....it's not been a big deal from what I've read on here......

I've never smelt it before. Only second time in 34600 miles that other people have changed my oil. No clue truck is running great gas mileage is. Oral as well. I'll change oil early I guess run some fresh oil tru with the drain plug out. Not dropping pan

During winter months and increased idling you might run richer and fuel may not burn completely. It's got no place to go but in the oil or out the tailpipe.
