2011 Ecoboost FX4 34500 miles. Was checking plug gaps today, took oil fill cap off to take off cover and smelt gas. Sniffed oil fill lid and it smelt like gas. So, I pulled the dip stick and same smell,I ask wife to smell she said same. I had oil changed about 400 miles ago when I got new tires put on. What could this mean? Thanks truck has been running great no issues with power at all

Unless the oil level goes up I wouldn't worry about it. I always get a little fuel smell in all the internal combustion engines I have.....motorcycle, 4 stroke lawnmower etc. etc.

"When the engine isn't warmed to operating temp then the fuel\air will not fully vaporize on the combustion stroke. The residual gas will be sucked into the oil passages."

Gas in oil is NOT GOOD!

Forced-induction (like the EcoBoost) will accentuate the situation of fuel be pushed-by the rings.

Watch for an increase in the oil level on the dipstick and I'd have the dealership check it out. If nothing else you'd be on-record for the situation.
