Advice for purchase
I'm looking at a 2012 f150, crewcab lariat. 5.0L. 4x4. It's a great looking truck, but it has 115,xxx miles on it. Is the 5.0 a good enough engine that it will last me another 5 or 6 years? I've never bought one with over 100,xxx on it and I don't know much about the 5.0. Help me out guys. Thank you.

How many miles do you drive a year?
Your financing for 5 years so if you are trying to get 100,000 miles from a truck you have no history on, you might be better off dropping down to a XLT with half the mileage.
I went from a Lariat to an XLT and don't miss any of the lariat options which cost an extra $5-$6,000.

I would not want to be making 2 more years of payments on a truck with 175,000 miles and no warranty.
I understand you like the Lariat trim, but don't risk so much obtaining it.
Find a good deal on a lower trim truck and then maybe 2-3 years down the road you'll be in a better position to work up to a Lariat with 35-50k miles.
