Default Ford Racing 5.0 V-8 (Forced induction ready)

Just saw this poking around on the Ford Racing site -
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=12763

Supercharger ready.

It's called the "Coyote Aluminator"

Looks like a regular Mustang 5.0, but with Boss valvesprings, forged low compression pistons and forged rods. Neat idea, but pricey at $8000.

No forged 8 bolt crank, but it does include spark plugs haha.

Considering the plain old 5.0l is $7k in crate form its not that much more.

It would be epic but the EcoBoost and 5.0 have EPAS and no provisions for hydraulic assist and that was a must for SVT engineers. I am guessing 450hp/550lb/feet with a torque curve as flat as Kansas would be doable stock with a 5.0 DI turbo.

I think it would be capable of way more than that.

agreed. considering the boss 5.0 mustang is throwing down 444hp. I'd guess closer to 550hp.

Conservatively, if it gains the same percentage-wise as the Duratec 3.5, it would get to 500 hp on the nose. That's assuming you start with the 360 hp truck 5.0. If you start with the Mustang (not Boss) 5.0, then you're talking 570 hp.
