Either way, the CAC does NOT increase MAP. That is controlled elsewhere. I saw no difference before and after the mod in MAP.

Scolded again today by a service adviser who stated it could blow the engine.. Sigh... and they are the only dealership in 100 miles of me.

They did state however they didn't care about tuners and would warranty it if I were to tune it.

Haha, my thoughts exactly.

Although maybe they are talking about condensation ingestion?

I'm a bit over it. They were supposed to due a full inspection and I decided to look the truck over myself... Lookie lookie! Oil leaking from somewhere... Looks like maybe between the Tranny and Engine. Sigh...

Should be at anymore risk than the stock CAC.

If a service advisor tries to pull this kind of crap you should immediately respond with something like "I didn't know you are making your vehicles so feeble now, I guess this will be the last one I ever buy. In fact, I'll be sure to steer everybody clear of your vehicles now too, if so much as a fart will "blow the engine."

I wonder if this advisor charges for changing tires summer air to winter air.

Probably charges to refill blinker fluid also.

No, not that shady. But I am considering allowing them to add some of that paint protectent that came with the truck for $1000.
