Looks like the Tuxedo Black is being replaced by the UA Ebony black which is the same black color Ford has been using for years. Great color just not metallic. I have it on my 2000 XLT and the Tuxedo on the 2011 XLT.

i am waiting for an order on a xlt screw with nav/computer and have been told that there is a wait for the parts due to the computer option. my dealer could not tell me the lenth of delay. i called ford and they are looking into an approx delay time frame. i ordered my truck on 3/28 and was told about the delay 8.5 weeks into the order. this is my first vehicle order but would assume that they would have known about the delay earlier right? any info would be great, thanks.

Don't confuse the in-dash computer system (made by Magneti Marelli) with the OEM navigation system (made by Sony). They are not the same thing.

Question

I seem to recall an extra charge for Tuxedo Black and Red Candy. I wonder how that is going to mesh with the new paint substitutions.

In the 2011 model year, there was no extra charge for Tuxedo Black. However, there was an extra charge for Red Candy because it is a triple-coat paint.

Question Color Substitution

Anybody know what the reported substitute color Candy Red (RZ) looks like. Is it used in another model line? Is it metalic? Thanks...

when i ordered my fx4 the dealer stated that ebony black was replacing tuxedo black. something about the color being manufactured in japan. they didnt say nothing about the nav system being on back order. the dealer told me that it would be between 8-12 weeks for the truck to be built and delivered. im located in chicago has anyone heard about any delays in this area

You're going to be waiting until the 2013 MY then.
