Default 5.0 specs

Ok guys, because of money reasons I can't afford to get the 6.2l. So I'm thinking of going with the 5.0l. :-) what are some specs of the engine that makes the 5.0l owners happy about it(pros/cons). Thanks in advance

I love my 5.0. Plenty of power and the exhaust growl is awesome. 360hp 380tq in this current generation, 2015 f150 will have 385hp 390tq I think?

Either way the 5.0 is a very good engine, it's definitely one Ford will keep for a very long time

K, thanks for the info. What's your personal view on the ecoboost?

Reliability, sound, cost, performance feel (eco felt like I was strangling it's neck at heavy throttle), and upgrade potential are the reasons I like the 5.0.

Eco has more low end torque once moving.

Default Happy 5.0 Owner Here

Had the vehicle for 2 years with no issues. Gets great mileage for a V8 supercrew cab on stock tune and tires. I enjoyed it before being tuned and I enjoy it even more now. I have 3.31 gears which seems to be one of the more common options. Any reason you wanted a 6.2?
