On the other hand, they all employ actuaries to calculate these things.
I agree, but with this it could be hard to proof that the issue was the engine and not driver error. Especially with no codes.

But driver error with people all over the country with the same problems? I would totally doubt it

i think the general public has a view on car companies that is wrong, ford is 24/7 testing vehicles, motors, etc. They have ran test and figured out the condensation issue, but now they have to figure out how to fix it. the last release was the deflector plate and a pcm update, the update was supposed to fix the issue but it didnt, so obviously it passed the tests they tried. if they do make a new intercooler i doubt they are gonna replaced everyones, it will be put in the new truck and most likely the people who are having severe issues.

I've very aware of the shutter issue but since the latest tsb's and sct sf3 maps I've been great. Haven't missed a beat. Plus Ford over me an extended 100k mile warranty for free.

He sent me these two to choose from. Ones the 100k powertrain warranty, and the other is 75k premium extended warranty.

Ah, definitely did not fix mine. Its still Summer and on the cooler evenings it has done it...can't wait for Winter to get here so it does it every day again. And yes, I have had both TSB's performed.

75K is closer to Bumper to bumper, then the 100K

Yea, I replied saying I wanted 100k premium not 75k. He said he can't do that and both have 100$ deductible.
