Default Floor it, kaboom, and lots of laughing.

Well it's funny to me but I figured I'd post up to let people know I lost my 2011 Eco today, or rather it's motor. I was right at 99500 miles in 2yrs and 4 months. Fx2 with 3.15 gears and I've been running livernois 93 and 87 tune for the past year.

I was getting on the HOV lane around noon today when I punched it and about a second into it revving up I has a loud bang, smoke and what sounded like a bag of rocks falling out from under my seat lol. I'll keep thread posted with pics as all I can find is a quarter sized piece of aluminum which seems like front cover material. And a lot of small shrapnel under the oil filter.

Now I can laugh at this because I finally know what it would have sounded like if my 3v mustang with twins would have popped. And also two weeks ago I heard a ticking or slight knock Which almost sounded like a follower going out but it went away after an oil change. Seems like for the past month it didn't have the same pep as usual too. Guess it was time to go!!!! I did feel like James Bond leaving a smoke screen and oil slick though!!

I'm glad you have a sense of humor about it. That shouldn't have happened and will be expensive to fix.

Yup, there's probably a nice custom window in your block now! Too bad you haven't found it to take a look inside.

There are Eco's on eBay all the time at around $4k. Much better than what they want for a new one.

Why be upset. It stinks absolutely but a new long lock with 3year unlimited mile warranty is under 6 grand.

I have a video I'll get up as soon as I get back home. There is also what looks like an oil feed like coming from the oil filter area going to drivers turbo that has blown up. Pretty neat looking in there

That's alot of money and does that include labor? 100,000 is alot of miles but most trucks go much longer than that, mines got 170,000 and still going strong. Just oil changes and 1 set of spark plugs and cops.

I suggest finding a new tuner who hasn't blown anyone's engines as I know this isn't the first one with tunes from your tuner!

Let me ask you this, how often did you change your oil? What oil was used?
