DISLIKE "get you back on the road."

They arent going to give him a new truck. They are going to shaft him with a POS that will likely blow again and has a negative resale value.
Back on the road could mean new truck. We don't know. All that we do know is that they will get him back on the road. Could be a brand new 2013 platinum, new or used 12 in the same trim level, same truck with a new engine+fixed parts (I hope this isn't it), cool skateboard, unicycle or moped.

That comment doesn't tell us what he will be returning to the road with though.

True. Just sonded like "get him back on the road" via fixing his truck. If it was said, doing our best to "make things right," then I would take that in a much more positive light.

I, personally, think they are going to do a repair and plop it back into his lap to blow again.

I HOPE that they do not give him that truck back and instead take another route - even if it is just a buy-back and will be IMPRESSED if that happens.

I think I am just bitter at this point lol. Cannot imagine if I were in this situation. Would probably be in jail...

Good lord is arfcom taking over here?

I am a mechanic and own my own business. It is on Eurotrash not ford, but I have to say I would pay (if I had any money) to get my hands on that truck and figure out what is causing this to happen. It is killing me not knowing.

Someone mentioned a cracked intake? With out throwing codes for a lean condition in the computer it would be hard to imagine. But wow. Three engines. I am at a loss for words.

Ghost, you are way more calm then I would be.

I am tagging this thread because I NEED to know the outcome now.

I agree with all of this.

Edit: Except the jail part. I would have been in court by now though. But if you are in jail waiting for your truck to be repaired shouldn't be that hard.

Agree 100%. This thread is making me very glad I didn't buy a new `13 a few months back when I was looking. It's also making me consider something else whenever I do decide to buy, and I'm a lifetime Ford guy.

The very least that should have been done on day 1 is getting him in a loaner. This should be a no-brainer. Ford can step up and pay for a rental if the dealer won't do it, and then work things out behind the scenes with the dealer.

FMC needs to stop putting the customer between their corporate/dealer battles.

Saying "we're looking into it", etc., is a fancy way of saying "go away, we don't care". It's pretty obvious that Ford does NOT care here. We as consumers can make it equally obvious moving forward that we don't care to spend our money with them either.

Purchasing a truck isn't only about purchasing the physical object that is the truck, it is more than that. I decided to buy an F-150 not only because I think they are cool and I like the interior and how they look but because peace of mind came with it. Part of that peace of mind was knowing that Ford would make it right should something unfortunate happen to my truck while under warranty. However, it seems that once the sale is made that you are forgotten more often than not. That you buying the truck is all the attention Ford/dealerships will give you and that once you return for warranty work you are not as important to them because they already 'have you.' It should be the other way around.

Ghosts' issue is that his problems are not being solved. The possible solution(s) are seemingly simple to me. It seems that he is being totally ignored and that is not right. His warranty has sort of been honored by poor attempts at repairing the malfunctioning vehicle but each attempt has been insufficient and has not fixed a thing. A warranty should mean that issues will be solved quickly and correctly every time, no matter how many issues there are, as long as they are under warranty.

Maybe ghost isn't being honest with us and that he actually added five giant turbos and removed the intercooler and runs his truck with out oil in the engine. Then this issue would make sense. But for this issue to reside on Fords shoulders and not the owner means that Ford has dropped the ball and it isn't ever bouncing back.

Some of the later tsb's for the engines must have disabled the ability of the truck to show codes or at least flash the check engine light for the conditions in which the tsb's were developed. I know with mine, everytime it'd go into limp mode before the last couple tsb's/detunings, the check engine light would come on quickly. After that I would have to push down on the accelerator once it started and let it shake and shimmy for at least 30 secs before the light would come on

Right... Does FMC write the warranty and build the truck, or does the dealer. The dealer is merely a distributor of the product.
