Default first encounter with a ecoboost

I was driving home the other night with the window down and I heard a turbo spool up from a truck that was passing me while going over a overpass. It was not going much faster than me on a six lane highway. I got to hear them whistle pretty good over two bridges. At night I just thought it was another diesel pick up. It was not until I could see the head lights and the badge. It was towing a box/tool trailer. You can really here the turbos from the out side.

Also, it seems like more than half of the ecoboost trucks I see are towing something.

I absolutely love the ecoboost. We have one of those roach coach food trucks that comes to work every day. I was amazed to see that they had an ecoboost. Seems silly to spend that kind of money to haul sandwiches around, but I was jealous of the girl who gets to drive it.

That's a tiny roach coach lol

I didn't know you could get an EcoBoost in a single cab. that would be a fun truck.

Second that on the rc.

I got to drive my dads new eco. screw, 4x4, 3.55, XLT and tan. Blast to drive, love the low end tq. holds speed on hills with out down shifting. The six speed was long over due in ford trucks. He came out of a 07 screw 4x4 4.6L 3.73 with 220k of 80% off road miles. There is enough storage under the rear seat that he is not getting a tool box for the bed to replace the one that went with the old truck. It is as quiet inside as my wife's Lexus, and gets better mpg than my 96 T100.

I would like the ecoboost more if it came with a manual transmission.

When my wife drove the new truck she would giggle every time she floored it.

Great assement....it's a terrific truck. I was flabbergasted at how quiet the truck is.....quieter than the Edge I owned. Don't now how they do it, moving that big boxy cab through the air so quietly. The rear seat is also roomier than the Edge which is very roomy. The ride, even with the off-road package is amazing for a truck. The engine.....such a pleasure, and the mileage is within 1 1/2 mpg of the Edge.
I couldn't be happier!
