Default FIRST 10k miles

Just rolled up to 10k miles on the truck. I went against the rules and bought a first year Drivetrain. I cant tell you how fricken happy I am with this truck. The average MPG over 10k miles is 18.7mpg, The power is like a small diesel and its as quiet as a sewing machine. I think FORD has a winner with the 3.5.

I agree. I have 4k miles on mine and was a little worried about buying a first generation, but I read up on the Taurus (I know this engine is a little different) and was confident that this was a good engine. I think this is the best all around vehicle on the market, quiet and smooth around town yet powerful enough to pull a trailer with ease and capable off road.

Default EB

I am glad to hear the EB motor is doing well. I went with the 5.0 mainly because truck I liked best (plus had he best price on) at the dealer was a 5.0 engine. I really enjoyed testing driving a couple of EB Crewcabs I still can't believe a V6 can power a a full size truck so well. Like alot of folks I was alittle unsure about a turbo V6 being a old school V8 guy but so far it is looking good for the EB. My wife is liking my new truck so much she wants her own we talked about buying her a new F150 crewcab next year she asked for a sunroof,Nav, and EB she just likes the idea of twin turbo she thinks she a nascar driver I have to close my eyes when she is driving.

I wish, I can't get mine to keep up when we are driving seperate vehicles and I don't even drive that fast. As far as the EB, technolgy is beautiful enough said.

I'm about to turn over 15k soon. I love it. I can't wait to see how the newer model years evolve

That's awesome, I am less than a hundred miles from 10k, and my average is 18.7mpg also. Which is almost exactly the same average as my 2010 Toyota Tacoma (18.6mpg) over the 20k miles that I owned it, before trading it for the FX4. Very happy I upgraded.

I wish I could say I've averaged nearly 19 mpg, but my lifetime average at 4k (1200 miles of towing) miles is right at 17 mpg. I'm not complaining because that is almost exactly the same same mileage I was getting in my 2008 Frontier. This truck is awesome.

Glad to hear these are holding up with a few miles on them. I too was somewhat skeptical of this setup but took a leap of faith. I tell myself if it doesn't have problems in the first three years I'll hang on to it and hope for the best. If not, Ill trade it in before the warranty runs out. I love it so far and hope that continues.

My lifetime average is 16.8. Pretty poor but I do let the truck idle quite a bit. I'm assuming those with near 20mpg average never let the truck sit still with the engine running. Anyway, I live the truck. Can't wait to get a tune for it.
