Extended Warranty

I paid $1325 for 6yrs/100k/$50 ded. for ESP PremiumCARE from http://www.zeiglerfordesp.com
The dealer wanted $1800, greedy bastard!
I thought the factory powertrain warranty was for 35k miles? Or is it 60k?

Good information guys really like both of those sites! The factory powertrain warranty is 60k miles and the bumper to bumper warranty is 36k miles. Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many miles your truck can have before you purchase?

You have to buy the extended warranty before the base warranty expires - once it runs out, you can still buy a Ford ESP, but its considerably more expensive and doesn't cover as much stuff.

I was just wondering how many of you guys decided to go with the extended warranty with your truck? I opted not to get it and save the $2,400. It was my understanding that I could change my mind and purchase the extended warranty as long as it was before a certain amount of miles. So far I've had a smooth and trouble free 15k miles so I don't see needing the extended warranty, but for guys that got the extended warranty did you pay the $2,400 or were you able to negotiate price?

I got 5 years/160k kms for $1600.
The dealer took about 1200 of from the original price.
I didn't want to take it, but he added " if I do NOT use the warranty, I will be refunded all the money after 5 years"

Thinkin he was lying. I know you can cancel before the warranty is up and get a prorated refund, but you can't wait till the warranty is up and then ask for a refund.
