Exhaust drone question
Alright, I've searched and looked through the threads but I haven't found an exact answer to my question. I got a deal on a 4" AFE catback exhaust. My buddy ordered it, next day totals his truck and now I have it. It has either a 14" muffler and a delete pipe in place of the resonator. It sounds fantastic. Outside. Inside, the drone unbearable after 10 minutes. I knew I would have some drone but didn't think it would be this bad. My question is would it make a dramatic difference if I put the stock resonator and pipe back on, keeping the AFE muffler and 4" pipe from the resonator back? Thanks for the help.

Adding the stock resonator will definitely make a difference with the interior drone, but it should be almost as loud outside still. 4" is pretty big and some exhaust pipes depending on how they're bent and what size exhaust tip you have May drone more.

Thanks. It's actually a well made exhaust, mandrel bends and a stainless rolled-edge tip. I think I'll put he resonator back on, see if that helps. If not, I'll have a 4" AFE catback for sale if anyone's interested haha.
