Hate to break it to you but 100000 km ain't **** man. My truck didn't start rattling til 85,000 miles. 115,000 miles on the truck now. These sorts of wear issues take time to appear generally

I hope to god someone finds a solution to this mess. My truck is rattling again and its not even the first oil change yet. Frustrating because this will be the 4th timing chain, I wish Ford could just figure it out.

Super. 2011 F-150 SuperCab FX4 3.6 Eco, and past couple weeks (Minnesota summer) got the engine light and power loss. Truck kept downshifting, like dropping into 5th at 70mph if I hit a little incline. Real sluggish from a stop light.
Dealer said timing chain and error code and TSB as previously cited in this thread. I have the EasyCare through 75,000 and am just over 70,000...so I guess this happened just in time. Fingers crossed, because of the $2500 price tag dealer says they are required to tear down engine and EasyCare will be sending out a guy to look at it before they green light the repairs being covered.
Saw references elsewhere that Emissions Warranty may cover? Anyone have more info on that?

What I want to know is why do you still own this truck? You are one hell of a troll man. How come others have flawless ecoboost? I got a Co worker with 100,000+km on a 2011. All he has done is change the oil. Runs like new.
Most reliable truck ever. You need to sell this truck and buy a tundra like the other trolls claim they will do on here.
My truck will make it to 1 million KM on just oil changes. I've stated this before.

100,000 km is just over 60,000 miles which is nothing on a newer engine. Lucky you if you have a defect free truck, there are hundreds if not thousands out there that aren't so lucky. My P0016 error code and truck running into limp mode occurred at 50,000 miles so they replaced the timing chain back in late February and the damn truck hasn't ran right since. It's now at a second dealer to see if they can figure out what the first dealer did to it when they replaced the timing chain. Maybe you shouldn't comment in these threads if you're going to call people with problems with their trucks trolls, I love my truck but the fact is Ford Service is dropping the ball with timing chain issue.
BTW, I'm in Florida, NOT Canada!

I may have missed it, but how many miles before the first failure?
It sucks to hear of these "chronic" issues, but they aren't common for the shear amount of units out there.

Does this (timing chain) always throw a code?
Mine has 94,000 on it, mileage went down the tubes (from 19 to 14-15) and cant seem to climb hills at all.
Dealer had it for 2 weeks, replaced HPFP, fuel rail and some other stuff, but it still is not right. But they said it was ok per Ford.
I'm just trying to eliminate the timing as an issue, but have no way to check.

No it does not necessarily throw a code. Mine didn't.

Even if you have to pay for them, have the dealer replace the phasers too. It's looking like the noise that may are complaining about are phasers being damaged by the timing chain. The cost to replace questionable phasers will be minimal now vs having to tear the engine apart when it's out of an extended warranty. Just about everybody has had the noise come back a week later and then it's a massive fight to get fixed.
