You crank it over. It turns the main crank which turns the oil pump which primes the system. All while preventing ignition.

So holding down the pedal kills the ignition system?

Yes prevents spark. Let off the pedal and it fires right up.

I think it shuts off the injectors, better known as clear flood mode.

Is this an upgrade or different Timing chain than original 2011 part number??
I just had TSB 15 0044 done on my truck at 50,000 along with the vacuum pump for the second time. Can i expect this to keep reoccurring? My mileage seems to be way up and truck is definitely smoother than it ever was. ALL oil changes done at the dealership on time.

This will keep happening trust me.... See my signature below for my repair history. My ECO LEMON has 175,000 kms and is rattling like crazy again during start up. I am sure I am headed for my 4th timing chain shortly. The brake booster pumps absolutely suck too. I have replaced these twice already. Sorry to break it to you these trucks suck for reliability.

I can't believe all of these parts are repeatedly failing independently of each other, there has to be some underlying cause which your dealer has yet to diagnose.

What I want to know is why do you still own this truck? You are one hell of a troll man. How come others have flawless ecoboost? I got a Co worker with 100,000+km on a 2011. All he has done is change the oil. Runs like new.

Most reliable truck ever. You need to sell this truck and buy a tundra like the other trolls claim they will do on here.

My truck will make it to 1 million KM on just oil changes. I've stated this before.

Not really an accurate statement, yes he's very vocal about it and I wish he would explore options to fix it himself. But there's a lot of people that have had issues with chains and vacuum pumps, myself included. I also have issues with my blend door and transmission range sensor now too...two pretty well known issues on these trucks as well. Also had a bad in tank fuel pump and lots of other issues. I understand complaining won't fix anything though so I just keep fixing things as they break, and when I get tired of it I'll trade it. Just the way it is some people get bad trucks/have bad luck
