I know what you talking about with the high pitch diesel whistle, but any other turbo car it's more of whooshing air under higher boost. So, it seems normal to me.

What do these look like and is their only purpose for sound attenuation? If so, I might want to get rid of mine.

Maybe its not the same but about the time Ford did the intercooler TSB to my truck...I lost that smooth whistle sound. It sounded more like air getting released from an air tank. And my truck had been a dog.

I kept thinking I was crazy and just forgot maybe how it was supposed to sound. But after getting a functional tune, theres no doubt that the sound I was hearing after Fords TSB was not normal. Its like the truck was constantly bleeding off boost.

Yeh well I should say I had some tsb done for a mis/stumble and I think the truck feels a bit sluggish and have read others saying the same and I kept telling myself that it's all in my head but today I was on the queensway (one of our canadian (interstates) and I put my foot into it to pass and I still don't think it feels the same.

Every TSB they did to my Ecoboost slowed it down. I have absolutely no number to back this up, just my **** dyno.

i just removed both "shields", front and back off of mine tonight. Got the Bell on order so I though it would be good to give the two a fair comparison

One of the main reasons you cant hear those turbos whistle is the trucks stock exhaust is plugged up and pretty restrictive. Get a catlees DP and a catback and port your exhaust manifolds like full race did on there truck and i bet you will hear alot more turbo whistle.
