Its just not needed.... most people here will never even come close to lugging the turbos hard enough or long enough that they heat up enough to need a turbo timer. I know an engineer for Cummins and this same thing was brought up about diesel turbos. He said that unless we are running a motor for hours at peak power, the turbo will never need a turbo timer. Some of the hot shot drivers out there pulling 40k GCVWR might need one....but day to day driving it is not necessary.
