Will try and let everyone know when I hear an answer.
Did you ever find out what was going on? I am planning to have mine diagnosed asap but I am almost certain that it is shaft play. And I am out of warranty so my only hope is that there is some sort of recall that it would be covered by ford.

How long did it last once it started making noise and what was the damage? Did it just have a massive loss of power or did the turbo explode and go into the ic etc....

originally i had a loss of power, felt like a NA 3.5l, couple days later it made the noise then it died by noon, i got it to the dealer before the turbo destroyed its self, not sure what actually failed, i just know ford replaced the passenger side turbo.

Sorry Kittrell87, I didn't find out anything from my trip to the dealer. They ended up keeping it for 4 days, using the half tank of gas that was in the truck and asking if I would fill it up again so they could keep driving it to see if they could hear the sound I had described...... My answer was hell no as they had already cost me almost a week of work. Anyway they pretty much said I was crazy and nothing was wrong. The cooked turbo sounds like it is a major problem. I'm still hearing the noise and am trying to figure out how to make it occur on command. When I get it figured out it will be going back to the shop for something to be done. A new dealer might also be in the near future.....

somehow our dealer never heard the sound. But mine does it every time you give it any throttle unless it's good and hot. As soon as I picked it up it did it when I left. I'm just keeping it out of boost for now. They said the turbo is only a 36k mile warranty and that my exhaust voids any warranty anyways. And for them
To warranty a new turbo even with me paying fully I would have to spend 2k on stock exhaust. I'll just buy upgraded turbos before I do all that crap.
