Tunes are undetectable as long as u return to stock in the event of a check in to the dealer!if u forget and leave your tune in they will be unable to recognize the calibration of your tune and put 2&2 together and bam ur ***ed!unless u have a really good tune friendly dealer!

Ive been tuned since 8k miles. Had an engine go at 27k. Dealer never asked any questions. The tech knew I was tuned plus I left my intake and mak offroad downpipes on. I was in and out in two weeks. Im buddies with the tech so I knew he wouldn't say anything it was the ford techs I was worried about. He said if they choose to investigate it they will find that it had been tuned but i had no trouble at all. I left it stock until my first oil change after the engine replacement and didnt think twice about tuning again. It would be hard to stay stock after you know how it feels tuned anyways.

I can't wait to put a tune on my new '14 FX4 that I'm picking up from the dealer this afternoon.
The eb is definitely a quick lil engine but the stock tune sure makes it feel slow at the initial touch of the peddle. I'm sure the truck is still trying to learn a driving style as well.

I believe ssi. There have been several alleged engine mishaps while running an ssi tune. I say alleged because it's hard to get straight answers and clear facts. But ssi has had the most allegations of causing issues but also likely has the most customers. And I think we are talking a handful or so of folks out of all users... And who knows if the tune was the cause or not....

On my 11 ecoboost I ran superchips for 30 k miles and mpt 93 custom tune for almost 10k miles. No issues but did have pinging with superchips 87 using 87 octane fuel so I started using higher octane.

Close to 60k on the 11 EB....close to 50k of it has been tuned.
I've run 91 performance tunes by 5 Star and MPT but mostly have been running the 5Star 87Tow/Performance.
I've had tunes adjusted to suit me and don't enjoy the truck anywhere near as much when in stock tune.
Only warranty issue I had was leaking exhaust manifold and no issues getting warranty.
If anyone is worried about tunes then just don't get them.....and don't drive a tuned EB
