ecoboost tuner now available

These trannies are stout, as I have personally seen 4 stock trans Mustangs lay down over 700 rwhp, and then bang out high 9 second quarter mile times at about 3500 lbs. If Ford is replacing the trans for 2014, I would venture to guess it has something to do with the 2015 CAFE regulations, either adding gears (Chrysler is getting the 8 speed next year), or some type of efficiency gains for mpg increases.

As for the Tuners, it is good to see that there are starting to be options for the EB guys. Hopefully there is some decent Tranny tuning, as this has been an issue with the Diesels and the canned tuning.
As for detection on the PCM, according to more than one Tuner, and a couple of service techs that I have talked to, there is a password screen that comes up whenever the PCM is refferenced. If no password is presented, the PCM stores a flag, and then notes what files where accessed. Apparently, this is only visible with Ford scanners. They even indicated that it shows a flag for the common code readers and things like a scangauge. The saving grace for those devices, is that the only files that would be accessed would be the sensor data, or the code storage. I havent seen it personally, and this is in the Mustang world, but I could see it being relevant to the trucks as well.

Stock manual trans in mustang is week. Second gear is breaking on mustangs with upgrades. I haven't heard of problems with the autos and i read a roush mustang forum often.

We have a Ford IDS laptop and I've never seen a screen with a password. I reprogrammed my PCM to the newest one without contacting the dealer. I had no problem. I even enabled police mode which stops the dome lights, puddle lights, cargo lights, brake lights and front corner lights from coming on when the door opens.

[QUOTE=mrpositraction;1166544]WTH does the manual transmission in the Mustang have to do with this thread?
People were talking about weak transmissions and someone mentioned the mustangs with 700+ hp and i said the mustangs with autos aren't having problems the manuals are. Does that clear it up for you?

GTFO, manuals have nothing to do with auto's, does that make it clear for you?

Wow! Can a thread stay on topic??? Mods need to do a better job keeping threads on topic.
I am really excited to see what these trucks will be capable of with a tune! I think we will see 13 sec crew cab tune only trucks pretty soon.
