There is a tsb for the molded lead frame in the tranny. It can crack and cause all sorts of wierd things. It happened on my truck and it took 6 months of dealer trips before i found the tsb. Itd either take off like yours and skip to 5th then throw a wrench mode or just going down the road at 55 on cruise the guages would go blank and itd hit limp mode. Ill havd to search the tsb for it but id but thats what it is.
