Keep it on topic on TUNE REVIEWS and it wont get shut down.

That being said, this isn't the first time threads like this for SSI were made and in the end, they usually are shut down for the simple reason that it doesn't stay on just about the tune reviews but people bickering back and forth and bringing nothing but drama to the forum. SAVE YO DRAMA FOR YO MAMA!

Trustingly that won't happen though this time but we see. :-)

I'll start off with my review. I had the 93SSi2T2Full. Awesome tune plenty of power and I don’t know how but, I do get better MPG on the same 50 trip stock yielded 18.5 tuned, 21.8 going 70 all hwy. This seems strange to me because, while purchasing this truck I had several dealers working with me and the dealer I did not buy from let me drive the exact same truck as I have now for 3 days. Stock it got the same gas mileage as the one I have currently tuned very weird. Anyways, I am currently trying out the 93SSi1T2 tune and will see how that goes. One thing that I could say I did not like about the 93SSi2T2 is the throttle, it seems that there is no easing into it. I push on the gas pedal softly and she barely moves then bam it goes. Not complaining about that it’s just the only negative thing I could think of that I did not care for.
Customer service from Shawn is good very fast replies either email or phone. If he did not answer the phone, I left a voice mail and he would call back in a short amount of time. All in all I am happy with going with SSi and I am pretty sure I would have been happy going with any other tuning company also. It seems that all these tuners are top notch that we have for our Ecoboost.
Thanks SSi

I ran the SSi Ecoboost 87/91 Gen1 Tow tunes all summer as I often pull a 9500 lb fifth wheel. When I first loaded a these tunes in the spring, my thought was what a great daily driver for the summer and I won't be swapping tunes between tow trips. Even with the Max Tow 3.73 gearing, I was getting 20-21 on my 70-75 mile daily commute. Shifting was smooth and for a tow tune, early in the acceleration, shifting up to 6th before 45 mph.
When I finally started towing, it seemed to change the shifting strategy some, maybe due to Tow/Haul mode and held gears a little longer and downshifting quickly before the engine started to lug. Power comes on early with these tunes to pull effortlessly away from stops and accelerating up on ramps.
I've been through numerous tunes, both street and tow, and this tune is better than any others that I've tried. Customer service is great with a phone call, but less predictable with email. I just call and it gets done.

I have an ssi 93 tune as well. I have had 3 other tuners products before ssi on the ecoboost. The ssi feels strongest and gets the best mpg if all three and even better than stock. To be fair one of the other tuners had slightly worse than stock mpg, one the same and one better than stock but a bit less than the ssi mpg.

Tune is very smooth and have to agree with the others that Shawn is extremely responsive in picking up phone.

Great to have so many good tuners to pick from and glad I tried this one out.

I run the SSI tow tune pulling my boat, even going up some pretty steep hills it doesn't need to downshift the tranny to maintain speed up the hill. I usually drive the SSI4TS2 as my daily driver, great power and I get better mileage than stock or the canned tunes.

Just wanted to give a review on the tune. First and foremost I want to thank Shawn for giving me the opportunity to let me try one of his tunes. The reason why I say that is because I have contacted other vendors (no names being said) on getting tunes and I was pushed to other vendors because of the billet wheels. I have been told that they would be too hard to tune or they were too hard to tune and refund given. Shawn has taken the time to listen to what I want and he has beyond exceeded my expectations. Now not trying to start a war with this but with this tune it is flat out insane!! I got the chance to test this tune against the same vehicle that I have always tested against. Car is an 2013 Camaro SS with exhaust and cam. Now I know pretty much all of yall donít know me, but my background has always been gm vehicles. The vehicle I traded in for the f150 ecoboost can be found here http://www.hotrod.com/cars/featured/...o-cult-leader/ . Sucks that someone else took all the credit for the work I did but at least I know I made it magazine worthy. Car was built by me and when I traded it in I detuned it like there was no tomorrow lol. Ok back on topic, the tune vs othersÖ When I tried other tunes I would get pulled by 1 to 3 cars. NowÖÖÖ. itís a different story. I am the one pulling 2+ car lengths against the same car listed earlier. Didnít believe it at first so we ran different speeds on the roll and I had the win every time. Tip in throttle took a day or so to learn since its more touchy but itís a instant go as opposed to stock where it takes a couple of seconds to move forward. Itís not for everyone but I like it. Cruising around is nice as well. There is no bucking and the transmission shifts very smooth. If I am driving 35mph and I stomp on it to 100+ when it gets to 3rd gear it doesnít feel like my rear end is coming out like I have felt before. This tune has impressed me and has shocked many others. I have done numerous data logs at different speeds and temps just to see what it would do and how it would react. Everything has always been spot on. Now like many of yall I was on the fence about using one of these tunes due to all the crap thatís been posted on many forums, but I figured I give it a shot so I could have my own opinion. I will say this is the best tune I have had to date & even with all the extra new found power gas mileage has gone up 2 mpg as well.

My buddy runs a hot tune from Shawn and it runs great, he loves getting out there and smashing other trucks.
