Some type of scan tool is a must, I bought a scangauge just to have, plus I Like playing with all the features. Knowing the codes right away is best. I dont fear the EB, if we all fear the new stuff we would still be driving model T's. Have a little faith in the warranty. New engines are new engine, like others have said there will be a few bad apples out there. Just the nature of the beast. Give me EB torque!

Went to Auto Zone and they read the codes for me.
One stored code and one active, P0430.
So, I went back to the dealer (Gorno Ford) and got the run around. Something about they couldn't find and stored codes and "oh, the mechanic thinks it's related to emissions, could you leave the car with us?".
I'm taking the truck to another Dealer tonight and have them look at it tomorrow.

So back to the original post, the dealship apparently claims it was the throttle body. They didnt say what the issue was, they just said i needed a new one. The part should be in tommorow. And yes i have the extended warranty. 7 years 140000kms it only cost $1500can
