I tried in my '11 FX4. It wouldn't disengage 4x4 until I let off the throttle at the end of the track.

... Last couple of pages of the EB track times thread - Chad and Bruce have a hypothesis on the trucks that will shift out of 4X4 under load.
Frank, are you saying you ran 4X4 the entire 1/4? I recall reading that in 2wd, trucks pick up ~2-3mph.
I am curious what makes your truck so much quicker. It will be great to see another tune only reproduce sub 13s.
Falcon, you moderate without emotion? I disagree.

Yes 4x4 the whole time. Like i said before, this isn't a 12 second tune. It's a 13.3 tune run very well. Look at the slip, there's a lot of factors that go into that run. That day was the first time I hit 103 mph, then 8 knew I could get a 12, but I knew it would be close. 12.997@103.23. Ran that, then went home.

This is a thread about an excellent run and badass tune that did not need your interjection either. The point is to expose dirty laundry in public - look at it for exactly what it is. In private, an adjustment would never had occurred.

Wow. I'm curious. Does Shawn tell you guys publicly to go forth and serve up the SSI koolaid, or does he do it on the down-low? It's no secret that he skirts the site sponsorship fees a number of ways (PMs, having his minions spread the word on forums, etc). However, I felt sure most, if not all, of the f150 sites had caught on to the shenanigans by now. Mods, yes. This is absolutely advertising. A similar thread was posted on f150online a day or so ago, and that thread is now gone. Here's how the SSI faithful operate: Then, they (including and especially Shawn) all gather on their forum to talk about how "f*&^ing stupid" the other forums and their members are. If the mods/admin want to see, I have proof of that, too. my67falcon, you had to have some sort of "feeling" that, given the context and content of this thread and the history of how SSI "goes to market" (Hard to type that with a straight face), that this was probably advertising. Otherwise, you wouldn't have issued the warning. IMHO, this behavior from a business owner is deplorable. It's unfair to the paying site sponsors, and it's just bad business.

I don't know if any have run theirs, as I have just got my 87 and 93 tunes where I want them. I know one who is wanting to take his to the track but did just trade for a new stx 5.0 and is currently working in on breaking the truck in and has a mild tune for now. His plan is to get a more ***** to the walls 93 tune after break in. Then try a track run. I have never been to a track so i do not know what is the best way to launch my fx2 5.0. His truck is a 4wd. Some say to leave traction control on and others say not too. My truck has a less aggressive tip in as that is what I want for a DD. I don't really want to run my truck at the track, but might make a few runs just for s"s and Giggles. I know my truck whether 87 or 93 when you mash the gas you will end up backing out as it climbs so fast it would be unsafe to keep your foot in it. My tuck when I return it to stock now feels like a slug compared to the SSI tunes. Just to be clear I have only run SSI tunes and am 100% satisfied because I can get any kind tune tailored to my liking. My tunes are set up for stock like smooth shifting and good mpg when normal driving. And runs like a bastard cat when you mash the gas! And that is about my 5.0 SSI tune as I would be curoius too who has the fastest, but I am not willing to tare up my truck to find out, because if you don't know how to take off properly you will tare or break stuff with the power these tunes are making. One of the SSI EB guys twisted his drive shaft into 2 pieces trying. So it would be interesting to know what a SSI 5.0 with a ***** to the walls tune would run. And I hope the mods understand my post is about the question asked. There are more EB SSI trucks than 5.0 guys and that may just be because their are more EB sales too and turbos are going to make more power than a N/A truck for the most part.
