I have both the MPT and 5 star tunes and can probably answer that 
The MPT is faster there's no doubt about that, but the shifting and everyday driving isn't on par with the smoothness of the 5 star.
Not saying I don't love the MPT, because i'm not gonna lie I smile ear to ear when my 6k lb truck rips the tires at a 25 roll

Racing Tomorrow Night
Finally able to get to the track tomorrow night, it's Street Night at my local drag strip. Weather will be good for racing.
The truck has a SCT canned tune only, otherwise bone stock. Hoping to have the #1 time in the "cheap owner - minimal mod" category. LOL
My first time to the track I ran in 2WD, it's obvious with the power the truck is making now with the tune, that probably won't be possible. I was wondering if all of you running in 4WD are also engaging the e-locker when running?
