Conditions and mods play a much larger role in track times than rear gear, especially with a 4.17 first gear. It's coincidence the 3.55's are leading the pack. People quickly forget that the old transmission had a 2.84 first gear. The 3.15s "act" like 4.63's with this trans and the returns of shorter gears are diminishing, especially when you have an excess of low-end torque from the engine.

Yea that would've been nice. It probably would be around 14 flat in that configuration. The closest thing out there is the RCLB. I wish 5star would take their RCLB EB with the 93 SCT tune to the track!

I don't understand that because one board member dyno'd stock and with a CAI and gained less than 1 hp. Livernois reported the same results on their dyno. It's possible that it was just a better pass and had nothing to do with the CAI, especially since the trap speed didn't really change.

I'm a big fan of magnaflow mufflers, especially on turbo applications. Quality construction, all stainless, and very little restriction. Plus, if you want it quieter, just get a longer one. I ran a single 3.5" on my old turbo Camaro that pulled 9's at 146 mph.

Do you have pic's of the setup? How does it sound?

I have one of the heavier configurations, anybody venture to guess what a truck like mine would run in good conditions and with a good driver? Theres only three tracks in MN, closest is and hour and a half away, may try and get there at some point but they only have an open track night like 6 times in the Summer, once in the Fall.

I am sure the intent of this thread isn't to pick peoples numnbers apart but I bet his 60' was much better on the CAI pass.

I will get some pics up this evening for you. It sounds pretty mellow, till you open it up. Sounds like nothing i've heard before, almost like a "little brother desiel". The main thing is the wife is still happy with the sound in the cab, if i keep my foot out of it
