No tune modifications, no sneaky crap, nothing special. Repeatable power. 19 psi. Straight 93 gas in the tank. Full weight. Just like i drive it to work. Meth isn't dialed in. Traction issues except those two runs. Cat back is stock with a magnaflo muffler welded in place of stock muffler. Traction gets sorted out for meth dial in teens won't be a problem, caltracs next.

I've PERSONALLY used every SCT tune on the market today. Raced every single one. No tune holds a candle. Safe, REPEATABLE power.

How many of you guys are launching in 4wd? I see a lot of 1.7-1.8 60's and im curious if these are 2wd launches or 4wd. Have any of you guys heard of drivetrain failure from someone launching in 4wd yet?

You can't get those 60' times by 2wd launching... and yes I've heard of drivetrain failure, IWEs and halfshafts. No major engine or transmission damage though. I imagine we'll see Xfer case issues before long... but you have to pay to play

I had a pretty good pop in my drivetrain the other day that really has me nervous...... My truck has 60k miles and Ive done about 6-8 4x4 launches with no issues. Put a sct tune on the truck and did a few and then randomly, I launched in 4x4 and about 50mph I got a VERY solid pop. I let out of it, put it in 2wd and rolled a little ways and started giving it more throttle and heard the pop again. Went on home and babied it for a few days and decided to try it in 2wd again to see if it did it again. No more pop but im scared to try 4x4 again. All i can think of is maybe something in the transfer case slipped. Like maybe a gear or chain skipped a tooth. I dont know if these things are chain driven or what. But, like I said, it has me pretty nervous to try 4x4 again. I am assuming that I got the pop in 2wd because everything probably wasnt all the way unlocked.
