Ecoboost, Power doesnt feel smooth?

Is it a good practice to do that? Probably not, but it has been done during endurance testing.

Maybe I'm just making stuff up but it seems like my power curve is all over the place. Sometimes it is smooth as silk others I have a definite power jump at 3500rpm and 4500rpm. Not sure if its the traction control playing with me or what. Seems to be more prominent when the motor is cold or at least not 100% at op temp. Anyone else?

Mine feels like a turd all the time down low since all the TSB's for condensation/etc. It will break the tires loose if you stomp on it from a stop or roll, but part throttle power is lacking and doesn't kick back in til you are going 60-70 mph, then you can feel it start pulling again. Its hard to describe but mine still seems like its surging after the TSB's and regapping. In the low RPM it just feels like a dog now. I never noticed it prior to the TSB's but as you accelerate the RPM's climb and then drop down even with a steady accelerator position...its strange you can feel it it feels like a downshift but it does not change gears...does anybody else notice this? I asked a while ago and some said torque converter but I just never noticed this before all this messing around with the truck. Getting ready to tow 2000 miles next week and not excited for it, it tows like a regular v8 now...shifting all the time.

Ours doesn't seem to have the low end power since the update either. Wifes taking it back to complain on Monday. She has put 1k on the update and still a dog. I am feeling better about ditching mine for a 6.7 more and more. It also seems to have a very "peaky" power curve, it reminds me of a two stroke.

Maybe I don't have enough miles on mine, I'm 3800 and do not have this. Somethings that I have done and not done on mine...
1) Always premium fuel. (if you switch constantly between octanes I could see this problem being obvious).
2). The EB has more linear predictable power on partial throttle. WOT is may not be as predictable due torque management, engine load, and the loop change in mapping.
3). My truck is normally at least up to 180-190* prior to really getting on it.
4). I've had an exhaust on it since around 1600 miles---maybe this smooths out my delivery more??
these are just some thoughts in my head, and none of them may even apply.

Did a run today and it is something to do with warm up. Once warm it was smoother but one time you hit the throttle it goes like snot and another its a dog. Maybe there is something putting load on the engine (alternator, a/c ect) or could be the inconsistent roads I was on today too from wet/dry pavement to gravel to mud to goo to snow.
