Yeah, fuel in the oil is common with DI engines and is even worse with constant short trips. My last oil analysis had 1.8% fuel in the oil which is mainly part due to the cold months too. Everything was still within spec in the oil though. Another thing was that my silicon levels have been considerably lower than most Ecoboost averages and I run that synthetic Airaid intake in that Roush kit.

hope this ok to go off topic... how do you like the sound of your EB with intake on it. and what Roush kit do you have.

I don't have a Roush kit or tune. I just have the same synthetic Airaid that comes with the kit. Adding an intake an removing the twisty tornado looking things in the intake increases the sounds from the turbo. However, some of my tunes greatly increase the sound of low end spool compared to others. My 5 Star and SSI tunes are the ones you can hear the turbos the most. Just light throttle will make those twins sing, but it can be drowned out by turning up the radio. Just a pre warning, you will be spooling the turbos up every chance you get just to hear it which will ruin your fuel mileage for a while. It is also load enough for other to hear on the highway too. I don't know how many times I was beside someone that had their window down while I barely hit the gas pedal to accelerate slightly, and you can see they instantly look over in shock as soon as they hear the turbos spool. I liked the 5 Star most of all as an all around best tune. He makes economy tunes that will get you results, but you may not like how it drives. I know you are leery about the warranty so check with your dealer to see how they feel about it. A good tune will make a night and day difference to the Ecoboost.

I just took a trip from south of nashville to knoxville tn through the mountains and got 22mpg going 70-75. i think thats pretty darn good. also just broke the 1,000 mile mark on the truck

I know the feeling! Bought my 2011 FX4 Eco in cookeville and drove to chattanooga and then up 24 to Bowling Green KY and had saw an avg of 22 mpg! Not bad for a truck that had 71k and it being a 4x4! Enjoy your truck!

It could as there a various tunes, some for economy, which you will even think less of the power it has now based on other user posts and then of course various performance tunes based on what you want, towing, street, performance. Hopefully your dealer nearby supports such.
For me my mileage decreased a touch, some have reported increases, but it is so much fun to drive that I quit worrying about the fuel mileage as much as when I just want to go ....it really goes and to top it off it is so quiet.

I've got a 6.2 Raptor and while it's cool and all, and even in off road mode (changes shift points and increases throttle response) it is not as much fun to drive as my tuned Eco, strictly speaking on throttle response and sitting you back in your seat and along with how quiet it is. Speaking of off road handling hands down the Raptor wins. I'll likely tune the Raptor as I hear that makes it much more fun to drive, but I want to get a few more miles on it first just in case. Last night I parked at 699.3, so it's still new...

So this will likely be my last (of only a few) posts here. Just thought I'd share with this crowd (since it's a lot of ECO guys) that I ditched my EcoPoop for a Tundra. In the last 6 months, the truck has almost gotten me run over twice due to misfires/CAC condensation that has not been adequately addressed. Also, I have been very nice to the truck since I have owned it, and the mileage has severely dwindled in the last 7500 miles. Since it hit 30,000, when I was averaging around 18-19 mpg, it had fallen all the way to 14-15 mpg average with the same driving patterns/habits/fuel (premium only). I had a 2007 King Ranch that was a total turd, and, while I loved my Eco when I first got it, it quickly soured over the course of the last 8 months (3 major misfires issues, 2 cats, 1 "deflector plate", SYNC system refusing to connect to bluetooth phones, just to name the most annoying). This will be my last Ford. Everyone in my family, many of whom work at KTP in Louisville, KY, are even upset with the quality of their Ford vehicles, and are seriously considering moving to Honda or Toyota. As long as Toyota continues to make a full-size truck, they will get my money. Built in America, by Americans, with American parts is good enough for me. The "Ts" all over it makes me feel better about the long-term prospect of keeping the truck, which was the previous plan with the Eco, but S*** happens! Good luck to all of you guys, and I sincerely hope all of you continue to have better luck than my family and I have had with our trucks and cars from the Blue Oval.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your bad luck with the truck! I guess there is only so much you can try to do until you have to move on though. My 2011 Scab FX4 wqith 3:73 gears currently has 82k on it and is running like a champ. I get great power out of it, no lag in the turbo, avg around 16 mpg city and 19-22 highway with a constant 400lb in the bed, and have not had any issues with the truck going into limp mode when trying to punch it or pass cars on the highway. The truck has been in the winters of Michigan and the Rocky Mountains down to the deserts of California and Nevada, and then back to Kentucky/Tennessee/Georgia where I currently live. She hasn't missed a beat yet!(knock on wood!) Good luck with the Tundra! Never driven one but they seem like good trucks.
