So this wasn't covered under warranty?

Sure it was... It was covered under the warranty from the radio shop that left the plug out when they installed his radio. It had nothing to do with Ford.

Any answer on the hard shifts.

Seems as if Ford produced the hose a little to short...the hose clamp is the only thing that will keep the hose connected. Mine was the same way, engine torque disconnected it all the time. I wonder how many people have not noticed this? It never made the noise louder, just a searching idle.

I think I'll pull a body plug out just so I can hear the turbos I would love to hear them!

What is a body plug? I just recently heard a knocking noise in my 2011 Eco. Just after I got an oil change. The knock sounds almost like that of an engine that has old oil. This motor only had 16k on it and oil is changed every 4k.

Funny you should mention the radio, I just recently installed a new system myself. The power cord I put through a grommet that I found under the main one on the passenger side where the main harness goes in. The 8 gauge wire almost completely fills the hole, but not quite. However, I did not notice any knocking until this last oil change.

Ha, I bet you were sweating for a bit there! Glad it was something simple! How big is the body plug and where is it located?? just for future reference

I have the same issue. It sounds like an exhaust leak on the pass. side when i jump on it. Didnt ever hear it on my last one, all I ever heard was the turbos, and loved that. I don't want my dealer to tell me there isn't anything wrong either. Can't seem to find **** wrong with my back over camera either when it don turn on for me more than half the time.
