Ecoboost Noise Problem

Ecoboost Noise Problem
Just picked up my Screw Ecoboost Fx4 last week, and have put about 3500km on it. My problem is that when I give it gas, it sounds like a diesel engine accelerating. Kindof like a jet engine noise. Went for a ride in my friends EB the other day, and mine is about 50 times louder than his. I didn't notice this problem until about 1000 km. It also seems to be a bit worse in the mornings when it's cold. Any ideas?

Mine definitely comes from the passenger side, and is much louder when the a/c vents are open. I am taking it into the dealer on Tuesday, but I don't have much faith in the local one.

Check to see that this vacuum hose it attached - Vacuum hose is dead center of this picture. Dealer fixed mine with a hose clamp.
Also, if you're using premium i've noticed the turbo noise is much more pronounced than when using regular

Mine is still attached unfortunately. I hope it's something that simple though. I'm also just running regular gas. My truck is starting to look like a lemon more and more every day. Also starting to experience random jolting hard-shifts...

In that case, check every hose on the air intake - that's a classic symptom of something leaking in the forced-induction system. Usually the leak will be between the turbos and charge air cooler - that's the part of the system with the most pressure on it.
There is one hose coming from each turbo back to the charge air cooler - be sure they're both attached at both ends with no cracks, and then check the hose from the charge air cooler back to the intake manifold. Pay particular attention anywhere you see a clamp or rubber section.
If you've got a scantool, see if you're still producing at least 12 PSI of boost when you stomp on it (Try to find a VERY steep hill to test this, or hook to a trailer - you need to load the engine up).

Problem solved. Took it in to the dealer today, and it turns out a body plug was left open by the guys that installed my road radio. All the engine noise under the hood was coming into the cab through the passenger vent. Dealer charged me $145 and I drove to the radio installer's and picked up a cheque. All is well.
