I have a 70 mile daily commute over rolling 50 mph country roads will only a little town (not city) traffic. In the summer, I get 20-21 mpg. Right now I am averaging about 17.3. Winter and short trips KILL fuel mileage. It takes about 10 miles for the truck to fully warm, so anything under that is a short trip.

The cold weather kills fuel economy, and you will not improve on anything by using 93 octane unless you electronically change the timing to run on 93.. Also a tune will improve your mpg by 2 or so mpg. Read this article it shows at different cruising speeds how your mpg is affected with the ecoboost f150 they got 32 mpg hwy out of the ecoboost.

good to know i'm not far off on my MPG. I remote start my truck every morning for a couple mins and have a 15min city drive to work. I would like to tune it, not even to be fast cause I cant afford FL tickets anymore , but would like to get the most out of the motor safely with some better MPG.

You will get more power and responsiveness. The Eco responds well even right off idle. But I doubt you will get a noticeable increase in mpg.

I just rolled over 2k and my tank is looking good so far. 355 miles and the needle is covering the 1/4 mark (26 gallon tank) Gonna bring it in at 4500 for the free first oil change then will be doing Mobil 1 changes following. After the first dealer visit I'm gonna look into a SCT Livewire, just dont know if I should go with custom tunes or stock SCT tunes. I'm looking for SAFE not MOST power

5 Star 87 Perf/Tow tune or just performance tune would be a good bet for you if you decide the canned SCT is not enough. The 5* 87 Perf tune would probably yield better mileage over the P/T tune as tow tunes tend to run a little richer.

I have a 2012 EB with 23k on the OD.
driving around my local area, which is full of hills with 55mph speed limit and a steep slow slog to where I live, Ill get 14-15mpg
on highway, I've gotten from 18-20

Driving from Malibu to palm springs and back, I averaged 19.4
Malibu to Orange county was about the same

If I do a highway trip and stay at 55 the whole way and don't have hills, Ill get low 20's

This is with 33in BFG AT's, a leveling kit, no front valance, and a light bar. I have a 2wd truck with an 8ft bed.

That being said, Id like to see some better around town and highway mpg with a tuner because I know the truck has it in it, but my head spins every time I try to decide WHAT tuner to get!
