Problem was is it was not their place to say anything. It was roush Yates place to let it all out and I know this thing will be awesome I would love to take that thing around a track for a few laps

Hmm, when I talked to the guys at rousch at pri, they said that they were going to run the Daytona prototype at about 500-550 hp (current 5.0 power level) and that in their testing, they were running billet rods and dual hpfp. I don't doubt Geno one bit, but its interesting to hear all the stories. One thing they did say, was the DI was a big contributor to the durability of the motor, in that there is MUCH more control over when/ how they can control cylinder pressures. I also thought that they said the DP car was still twin turbo.

I would hope an 800hp EB hits low 10's as 650hp blown 5.0s are in the 10's and they are only about 500 lbs lighter. The only concern I would have is the torque curve has to be shifted higher to get those numbers, which would detract from it usability as a truck, but who are we kidding, at that power level, no ones REALY using it as a truck anymore...... Going to be sweet seeing what happens from here on out for sure!

Hint some one here made the manifolds for the turbos

Now that it's out I can say with out a doubt that by the end of 2013 we will see a truck with 800 hp Eco running 11s
Hey Geno, They didn't say how much torque it produced did they? and also at what rpm did the motor make these #'s??

Nah I did not hear anything about the torque.
