Default The Ecoboost is moving onto bigger and better things!

Not sure if anyone has read this yet. I read this on another Ford website and thought i would share. Looks like they are going to be putting the Ecoboost in something a little more fun to drive than a F150! The 3.5L twin turbo engine will be put in a Daytona Prototype car for 2014 !! RoushYates racing will be building the engine and Ford is developing there own body/chassis to go along with the Ecoboost which will replace the current 5.0 engine. The projected HP is in the 850 range! SWEEEEET!!!

Guess that will show some of the ecoboosts capabilities/limits. Of course their budget is far more than any of us will spend.

I was under a pinky swear order until it was released to the public now that it's out I can say that someone I know personally watched this motor on a engine dyno make 780+ hp under full throttle full boost under load non stop for 24 hours!!! And they still had room to grow!!

Hint some one here made the manifolds for the turbos

Now that it's out I can say with out a doubt that by the end of 2013 we will see a truck with 800 hp Eco running 11s

That's great news! Ecoboost IS the future! Now if I could just keep the rear tires under control...

I hope you mean the redesigned truck is coming out this fall and not the next one. I'm dying to upgrading but I'm trying to hold out for the update.

Full throttle for 24 hours is insane. I just wish I could bring myself to spend money on this truck like I did my diesel. I'm sure I will come around lol. Wouldn't 800hp be much better than 11s?
