Default Ecoboost missing between 55-70 mph

My 2011 Eco started missing under wot between 55-70 mph .. Sometimes it'll throw a blinking a check engine light, sometimes it'll vibrate and lose all it's power when it miss's real bad .. I don't think its a cac problem because it'll miss every time at wot but under partial and light throttle it's fine ... Could it be the catalytic converter or maybe plugs? 55k miles and it's never been touched as far as tsb's or anything like that

My spark plugs were shot at 40K. And a little bit of reading here will tell you they were mis-gapped at the factory. The solution is to replace the SP-528 plugs gapped to hell and back with SP-534 plugs gapped at .030.

When my truck did it it was my plugs...but mine never ever threw a code. I'd start with plugs, coil would be my guess.

You need to pull and gap the plugs to about .030 at the least. Better to get new ones and throw those in at .030. If it still does it, probably have a bad coil.

Since it recently started happening, it is his plugs.

EcoPoop signature says his mpg sucks, he probably needs his changed as well. More than likely still got the originals gapped anywhere from .035-.045.

Never done anything more to mine other than a filter swap and 6 oil changes. Its been getting the smae BS mileage since day 1 off the lot. I hate it. 14-15mpg at 75 on a flat road with no wind.

I think it was some of the 13s that had bad PCM code that trashed the fuel mileage.
You might try gapping or changing your plugs, though it doesn't usually change fuel mileage. You don't do a lot of idling, do you. One guy complaining about mileage always let his idle 10-15 minutes before driving. WTF?

Nope, turn it on and go. Now that ive moved to the Texas Hill Country I get 12-13 on the hwy @ 75 with cruise on goin up and down these hills.

Seems like any incline in the roads or head wind the turbos just start spooling and start slurping gas. flat road with cruise on its right at 15mpg. only time I can get better than that is if im at 70 and/or with a stuff tail wind.
