E-locker?
Great info here, I'm shopping for a 2014 used or leftover SCRW 6.5' bed truck. I want a 2wd but in philly there non-exsistant unless its a xl work truck. I found a truck with the 3.5EB and 3:55 E-locker, 4x4. Anyone have this setup know mpg? My question is this, Does the E-locker act as a limited slip when unlocked? Whats the advance up the E-locker if not? This thread is awesome, thanks guys

Think a lot depends on type of roads travelled speed etc. Most of my hwy speed is 55-65mph. Here's what I got with 2 identical optioned trucks with different ratios.
2012 FX4 Screw short box with 3.73 over 20,000miles averaged 15.2mpg
2014 FX4 Screw short box with 3.55 over 16,000miles averaged 15.5mpg
Take it for what its worth but I can tell you the 3.73 truck had more jump and downshifted less on hills. I ordered a 2015 with a 3.55 because I'm buying into the lighter weight truck coming into play slightly. To get decent mileage you have to stay out of boost and in vacuum.....IMO the lower gearing helps with that even with extra cruise RPM. If anything the extra "jump" doesn't cost more at the pump.
I do realize the the taller geared trucks will out accelerate the lower geared trucks due to more turbo loading. I gave up on worrying about 1-2 tenths in the 1/4 mile vs drivability.
Just my 2 cents.
