The Cooler is not the problem in that case, its just the spot where it gets collected.
We will make a ABS Plastic Pipe that clips into the Airbox and goes with the opening towards the A-pillar.
I don't know if I'm 100% on board with this theory. I think if it was something that easy Ford would've figured that out by now.

And I wonder if anyone with CAI have had the shudder issue. Wouldn't the CAI kind of keep the water from getting in the intake?

I have the aFe stage II CAI, and after I wash my truck I can see water sitting in the stock bottom half of the intake where the stock air filter went into, but my aFe filters are to far away to suck it up.

Even Geoff from Full Race has speculated about this being part of the problem. Water in the bottom of the air box could wet the filter under WOT.

Doesn't the airbox have drain holes?

I know when I size intake vents for buildings I keep the velocity below 500fpm to keep droplets of water from being sucked indoors.

I don't know how many CFM these motors pull, but if someone knows the answer I can convert it to FPM.

Last time I checked with Wagner USA ( which was about a 3-4 weeks ago ) they said production to start for the 13 coolers was slated for end of August.

Whether that means they will be available for purchase at end of August or if a production run will take a bit of time, he couldn't say when I talked to him.

So not quite there yet but getting closer!
