Stainless really isn't that expensive though (my dad sells the stuff), and I doubt they're paying retail for the cats. My Bassani x pipe I put on my Mustang 10 years ago was right around $400 and used more material, so yeah, they're a tad high.

If there are no O2 sensors after the 2nd cat, I'd much rather see something that deletes the pre-cats entirely.

I could go out and weld up some piping and flanges then bolt bigger turbos to my truck even if I had the ability at the moment to make the pcm believe that the new set up is all well and good, I don't think the fuel system will support it.
The bmw n54 3.0l (twin turbo 6 cylinder direct injection) came with a factory rating of 300 hp at the crank (more like 330-340 hp ), with a downpipe, tune and water/meth injection they will put out about 440-450 hp at the wheels and about 500flbs. Vishnu Performance Systems strapped a giant single turbo to one and got 650hp at the wheels with NO engine mods, not even the fuel system. tuners have said that the fuel system is good for at least 700 hp at the wheels.

I would suspect that the direct injection system on the ecoboost should also be able to handle significant power gains.

That's impressive, but It's BMW, based on the Mazda performance stuff the hpfuel pump needs to be upgraded relatively soon. Then again it could be the opposite, so whoever runs out of fuel first on the dump will figure it out.

I would love an O2 dump downpipe for my eco. Why hasn't anyone though of this? With everyone complaining how their catback doesn't give them the "mean" sound they desire, i think an O2 dump dp would be a hit. My .02

The Flex and SHO guys seem to be running out of fuel with stock turbos turned up, I also had an Mazda MS6 and they did run out of fuel early as well. We'll see with the trucks but I'm definitely interested.

Default MBRP CAT Delete

we have done several trucks at our shop with either the high flow cat doenpipe or the cat delete pipe. We have had no issues and good response. Without cats we are avergaing an extra 22hp and the pipe is about 500.00.. with SCT tuning the trucks really respond well....

MBRP makes a cat delete y pipe. It fits well and sounds great. you just need a tune two turn the rear 02's off... we use SCT at our shop and have had great success with both.. many trucks and good numbers... happy customers, mileage is good too.
