Engine ran better right after, but still slight shudder at 2-3 rpm in 4-6 gear. Hopefull it will clear out
Did you change spark plugs too?? The weep hole was step 1, new motorcraft sp534 plugs gapped to .030 is step 2.

Out of the 6 I purchased, 4 were spot on at .030. The others were very close but were more like .028.

Always check the gap on plugs.

Thanks for saying what that shield done, instead of removing mine I took it off heated it up and bent it forward right under the latch, now it looks like a top scoop to get air into that section. I just bought my truck with 124k after reading about drilling the hole I did do it, the only thing that came out was oil and just enough to call a puddle.

Wow after reading this post I'm convinced

My truck is 2011 with almost 190k

is there any specific place to drill the whole or just drill the right corner and call it a day?

also does the hole size matter?

Its been covered hundreds of times in this thread but here you go.

1/16" hole in the bottom corner of the intercooler.

After 190K miles and you not having any issue I think its safe to say its your dry environment. You're in Saudi for petes sakes, its a desert.. haha
Probably dont see much condensation but might get a little oil blow-by which the hole also helps with.

I have a 2012 with under 30k on it.Live by the shore so I would say its a humid environment. Back in 2012 (2 times)I had the eco shudder that went to limp mode on highway( in the rain ,entering highway ramp) but never did anything about it except take to the dealer and they did nothing. This morning(Just for the hell of it) I went out and drilled the 1/16 weep hole. Nothing at all came out.The engine was cold so I ran it a few minutes to see what would happen,,,,still clean.Any reason why some have it and some dont?If it matters Besides what the dealer fills it with when new,I get the highest octane I can get.
