Ecoboost condensate drain hole, post your results here

Fixed so far
I have a 2011 ecoboost fx4 and had the issue of misfiring and shuddering. It would do this if I accelerated passing someone on the freeway or highway. Would be doing 100-120km/h and go to accelerate to pass someone and would start shaking. I got the misfire #3 cylinder code up one time because i really stepped on it and the engine light starting blinking so I eased off right away (obviously lol) it was in limp mode for a few seconds then engine light stayed solid. Got it home np and plugged in the reader thus getting the misfire on 3. Reasearching and finding these forums I decided to go ahead and drill the 1/16 drain hole. I then took it back on the freeway but was having the same result. (when i drilled the hole i didnt have the truck running and didnt notice any leaking). When I got back i noticed a good amout of oilish watery whatever it was stuff that was sprayed out. I was like what the hell. Why didnt it work. So then I again kept reading these forums discussing this issue. I came across spark plug gap needing to or should be .30 I decided to check the gap on the plugs. Easy. Cheap. I found the every plug to be gapped at .40 - .45. Had plugs changed at 108 000km and I have 115 000km now by way. I cant remember what the book says on 2011 spark plug gap but Im sure it was .36 or .38 maybe. Idk. But people are saying gap should be at .30 so that is what I did. I took it back on the freeway it is awesome!! Drove it for at least 40 minutes doing 100 and punching it. Back to normal. Feels great! So far lol. Great great feedback on these forums. They are saweet. Please post your finds! Hope this helps someone! Thanks.

Well I had taken my truck in for an oil change. Asked if they could see about a squeal I have been getting on and off. This would be second time I have asked them to look for this issue. Well I get a call asking if I knew that there was a hole drilled in my CAC. I laugh and said yup I did that. Service person asked why and I explained myself. Later on I get a call saying they would like to keep my truck over night to see if it squeals in the morning. Well I pick up my truck today and now have a brand new inter cooler installed. Covered under the power train warranty. So I gues I will be removing the lower shield and needing to drill a hole in this one. I fully expected them to say well that was dumb now we don't have to give you any warranty.

Ecoboost Misfire in Cheyenne, WY
I bought a 2011 F150 Ecoboost brand new. Right around the warranty expiration (60k miles) I started having the misfire problem. I changed the plugs and gapped at 0.30". Problem seemed to go away, but eventually came back. Same as everyone, check engine light flashes, goes into limp mode. My truck now has around 87k miles on it. It misfires any time I get on it. I took my CAC off yesterday and drained about 25ml (1oz) of oil out of it. There was no water in the CAC. No surprise since I live in a relatively dry environment. There was a little bit of oil dripping out of the cold side hose. On the warm side, only the driver's side turbo hose had oil in it. The other hose was dry. I changed my oil about 3k miles ago and the dipstick shows full. I'm guessing the turbo doesn't leak all that much oil. Took it for a test drive and it misfired right away. However, it cleared and seemed to run okay afterwards. Does it make sense that that much oil in the CAC could cause the misfire? I plan to drill the hole in the CAC today just to eliminate it as a possible cause.
Took this picture from the cold air side with the cooler installed. At the bottom of the picture you can see where it appears the oil was draining back into the CAC. The color looks milky, but it is black engine oil with no water. The flash on my cell phone made it look that way.

Yes. Problem was mostly with #1 and sometimes #6 cylinder. Swapped #1 coil pack, replaced spark plugs. Still have the misfire on #1. If the oil travels along the wall of the hose and intake, would it make sense that it likely enters #1 cylinder first?
I'll swat the coil pack and check the connections again. See what happens.
