This is the 09 - 14 forum. There might be a thread in the 15+ but I am not sure as I don't go in that forum.

Same here. Have a 2016 3.5 EB and was wondering if I should. I know in the past they had a few tsb to try to fix the issue. Would hate to drill and not need it on a new 2016...

Ford addressed the issue with grill changes and controls. I would follow the forum and see if there are issues but "Keep" your warranty in your glove box

I think the outlet from the intercooler on the 2015+ were at the top of the intercooler and not at the bottom like the 2011-2014. this would remove the issue unless the intercooler was completely full of water. I would leave it alone.

It's not at the top, but it's not at the very bottom either.

Simple test: Run VTA fer a spell ( as Full-Race suggests ). In as varied a set of conditions as possible.

IF you detect any spooge coating the area directly in the now-open BOV's outlet path (or dripping from the open outlet), then you indeed still have accumulation to some degree.

If not, drilling will likely not yield much in the way of condensate - in your case.

Other good news - the Fideen+ CACs are cake to remove. Hence - don't drill just yet - spend the 15 minutes to remove and decant the CAC as-is. See whut-all pishes oot. Nada fer me, so far, aight.

So i drilled the hole finally. Truck is like i remember. Had no issues with shudder since drilling. So i had a plan to drill hole let the truck go for a few weeks and than i was going to put a smear of silicone over hole to close of and remove once in awhile to drain again. Well I clean the inter cooler well and put a smear of silicone over the hole. I let it cure for almost 16 hours. The dab of silicone was way bigger than the whole so i know i didn't suck it in. I blew it out after a ten minute drive across town.

Anyone use a small screw to plug the hole or??
