That thought had bothered me since before I placed an early order on my 2011.
Direct, high pressure fuel injection.
Coming from diesel engines to the F150 I have always wondered how well the injectors would do considering the problems in diesels with them, and they get the benefit of a self lubricating fuel (diesel).
Gasoline is much more abrasive than diesel on components. How do they keep these injectors working so long.
I don't recall seeing any complaints of worn out or failing injectors in F150 's.

This is what the Can Caught strictly from the clean side thus not entering the CAC at all yesterday in the rain and low 50's. 270 miles of interstate and expressway. There are at least 3 rings of different substance in the 2 ounces of fluid caught. Truck ran great. Bottom picture is what it looks like after 24 hours of settling out. The clear watery stuff in the bottom is nasty's. The drilled hole in the CAC gets rid of what the clear stuff is that the Can caught before it got to the CAC thus eliminating it. One way the mess goes on the bottom of the truck and the other puts it into a glass for everyone to see. Top glass drained immediately on returning home, the can felt at ambient temp, bottom glass after it sat undisturbed. When they drill the hole this is what they see coming out.

I wish I could share a recent PM conversation w/ a member regarding this. However, at this time, he is not logged in & therefor cannot grant me permission to share. That being said I will PM him asking permission to share the Post anonymously or Post to the thread himself.

Lot of info here. I think I will invest in a catch can prior to drilling a hole. I figure the can can't hurt. Still interested in this solution as well as any others brought forward by Ford. Subscribed.

Plug gap? My experiments with gap seem to indicate that narrower gaps down to .025 improve the idle, but you may sacrifice a tiny bit of mileage. I believe all three mods may be necessary to completely eliminate the moisture and rough idle problems.
