Lost power on a rainy day while overtaking. Got the P0306 code and took it to the dealership to get the TSB done.
98,000km on truck.

They installed the new lower deflector plate and updated the PCM.
I wonder y dont they take the intercooler of n clean thr **** out of it.

Anyways, drilled the hole the as soon as i got back home.
Its oozing out the yellow stuff slowly. Been 3 days n i see a small puddle under the truck everyday.

Since i m out if warranty now, hopefully this fixes the issue coz Ford cant seem to fix anything.

Finally got around to drilling mine. 1/16". 2011 with 22k miles. 9000 of that towing heavy with my travel trailer. Never had a misfire or condensation issue. No issues at all here in hot and humid East Tennessee. Mixture appears to be mainly oil. Can't tell for sure, of course. Run 100% penzoil synthetic changed at 5k intervals. This is what came out after I started it. Maybe 1/2 teaspoon. Ecoboost condensate drain hole, post your results here-image-3566439418.jpg

I don't think you want the blocking plate, the newest TSB removes all of them. For pics look on post #42 in this thread. Take down the rubber flap on the left bottom side of the radiator support just like you were going to reach up to take the oil filter off. Look straight up you will see the bottom of the intercooler. Just drill the hole at the lowest point just in front of the exit pipe.

Look on the upper right hand of each post line, right above the posters name and all the way to the right side. I personally would see no need to go greater than 1/16 th of an inch. Mine's been clear ever since I drilled it. #42 is on the second page for me. Depends on what you have your setting set to. The pics aren't the best but you should be able to get the idea.
