I would believe the 13 model with the electric BOV could be easily rerouted to a catch can.

Why are we still considering this is a good idea? Lol, seriously.

Well, I have held out with drilling a hole in mine. I got the (latest?) TSB where instead of the incredibly brilliant top air deflector, they installed.... drum roll... an air deflector on the bottom portion! Since I am not under warranty, I spent $200 on a rectangle, 2 strips of double sided tape, and a flash. I am in Middle Georgia (just a data point). I try to get the problem to occur still and can do it at will for the most part. I have made it go into limp mode twice with relative ease, thankfully on backroads where the only danger is a deer or the occasional 18 wheeler full of timber. I read codes, random misfires, #1 misfires, #4 misfires. Gapping all plugs to .030 and crossing my fingers. Any news on the NHTSA investigation? I am pretty ticked and if I don't get this resolved, I'm taking a huge bottle of unburned O2 and turning it to steam and throwing it at Ford... cause it will explode... right?

....you PAID for a TSB?!?!
I have never paid for a TSB. It shouldn't matter if your on warrantee or not.

@exnavy, if you can do it at will its probably not condensation.
logan, tsb's aren't the same as recalls, so if you're out if warranty I'm not surprised he had to pay.

Really? That's kind of silly tho. TSBs are basically FORD admitting something is wrong with your truck. I'd be pissed if I had to pay.

This is item is closed with NHTSA. Ford claims it's fixed on older (via TSB's) and current models. The report pdf is floating around I don't have it handy but it's linked in a few threads / posts here.

logan Yeah, I was pissed. I went back and forth with the dealer and they just kind of shrugged their shoulders. "It's not a recall, so really it's not a required fix." is what the DB told me. Mike That's why now I am going about with the plugs (and then COP I assume). I figured I didn't want to do the plugs and still have the IC puking in my engine... though it probably is and we come back to the subject of this thread!
Its in the teens outside right now (in Georgia which is insane) but I will try pulling the plugs in the next day or two if it gets a little warmer and I will post the gaps.

Question, I don't have a tune or anything, should I still gap down to .030 or just go .032? I have heard/read too many mixed opinions on that part...
