They only evacuate in boost, so they have the same issue, just not as severe. We correct that system by taping into the intake manifold vacuum for evacuation at idle and low throttle....it is that simple, we just use the principal from each together (like the Volvo does) to accomplish constant and steady evacuation so this mix can never accumulate:
so is this what is now known as the clean side separator?

Is this a good kit to go with or should I look at something else? I see some of you guys are using dual catch can set ups is that the way to go?

Just as another data point, I'm at 134k miles. Replaced plugs at 50k and 100k, otherwise no CAC drain hole, no catch can. More importantly, no engine issues to date.
Running in the midwest, we've been having extremely wet summers. I've driven over 300 miles nonstop through rain without issues. Oil level in truck never budges between oil changes.

I just put a catch can on my 2014 3.5L with 50k and with less than 1000k miles with the catch can on the truck - here is what I have collected, just under 12oz - here are the results:

I have had similar results, but adding the CAC hole finally cleared up the slight "missing" I was getting on long uphill runs. Wet weather greatly exacerbates the problem as more water gets compressed into the CAC, and a sudden turbo boost can blow it right up into the intake. That would also explain why there are reports of cracked spark plugs, no doubt from water blowing into a cylinder onto a hot plug.
