Ecoboost check engine light.

When this happened I was 400 miles from home. Restarted and drove it home. Today I took it out and tried to repeat. Damn these things run good! Didn't do it again.

I think the key is the check engine light staying on solid. I actually cleared the code several times with my SCT tuner, but it would come back on pretty quick and stay on solid...even without getting on it.

My light just came on and I had only 450 miles on it. Driving just around town. It turned out to be a bad O2 sensor. Weird this soon, but seems to be my luck.

I had the same thing happen, ~1200 miles on my truck. Floored it to .. well we'll say pass, but it was really just to have fun.. the truck downshifted to 3rd i think and it pulled for a second then sputtered, lost power and the the check engine light started flashing. Tried to slow down and then accelerate again and it vibrated bad. Pulled over and shut off/restarted and then it seemed to be fine minus the check engine light staying on solid.
Scheduled an appointment for next Monday and then today the light turned itself off. I was happy that the light was on, now i'm probably stuck were everyone else is with symptoms and no light to go along with it.

Ive never paid attention while changing the oil on my 2 EB trucks, but don't these things have a converter on each bank? If so, I wonder if it is the same side each time?

I just got done with a cross country trip pulling a trailer and a fully loaded truck driving 18 hours a day. Well on day 3 I was nearing my destination and had just filled up in VA after the tolls on I-74S and poured the coals to it to get up to speed and just as soon as I did that I felt a lot of hesitation let out of the throttle and it went away and was in limp mode with no CEL. After .25 of a mile it came out of limp mode and the CEL never came on. Fast forward 170ish miles and I go to take off from a light and give it more gas than I normally would to go up hill and then **** hits the fan, the truck shakes and jerks like it's been possessed by Michael J Fox, goes into limp mode and have no power at all and the CEL started blinking and then became solid. I managed to get it into a near by auto zone and have them run the code real quick and it showed misfiring on cylinders 5 and 6 only which is odd. Had to wait a few days to get it into the dealer, thankfully the light held out and stayed on. When I went to get it, I was simply told that the ECO builds condensation in the intercooler and it chokes off the boost, which causes the motor to run rich and then the PCM ****s a brick because it's getting different exhaust readings than what it had thought things would be. To end the short novel, the dealership told me that it would happen again if I drove long distances and the only "fix" FoMoCo has for it is the latest TSB and since I already had it done then there isn't a fix and "I would be notified when/if they release a fix for it.

That happened happens to the 6.4L diesels as well. the FIX was to floor it once in awhile to blow the water out so it does not accumulate and completly block the flow off if thats whats going on.
