EcoBoost baseline power numbers

Those kinds of statements are industry wide. Not new news to me.
I've been modding vehicles for over 10 years so I realize the consequences. I like reliable power within very safe A/F ratios. I'm not one to try to squeek the utmost power out of a vehicle.
I think I'm smart enough not to bring in a wounded car claiming that it's completely stock.

I wonder if Ford is limiting the boost or timing a little during the first 500 miles or so. It would be a trivial programming matter to have a mildly "enforced" break-in period. A friend who bought an EB XLT a couple of weeks before I got mine told me he noticed a distinct change in the engine's perceived power right around the 500 mile mark. I just passed 500 miles a couple of days ago and have not had the opportunity to drive it other than a few miles at a time in fairly heavy city traffic, so I don't know if that's true or just his perception.

15% losses works out to 374hp/408ft-lb, the hp looks like ford might be underrating, no idea why they would do that on the EB. same driveline losses, tq does look a bit low.

I think you might be a little off a 15% loss would be 310hp and 357tq from a crank rating of 365hp and 420tq

I'd gain HP and lose torque from driveline loss. Hate to say it but your math is wrong.

I'm pretty pleased with those numbers.

sure, that is what the theoretical numbers at the wheels would be based on the published numbers, I took the actual numbers he got at the wheels and divided by 0.85. I did hit a 4 instead of a 3, should have been 373hp.
