"Can't we all just get along?"
It is supposed to be us Ford guys (and gals) against the evil others (Chev, Dodge, etc.) not us against each other!
I drove them both and they both have merit...for me it had been an 11 year wait for a new truck and I wanted some high tech cool. I took the leap of faith on the new EB mostly because I trust Ford and felt they would not build something that would risk the loss of all us loyal F-150 owners
I personally got nothing against any Ford F-150 owner no matter what motor you choose, the motor is just a small part of what makes the F-150 the best truck out there IMO...
I will end where I started "Can't we all just get along?"

Guys this is a pissing thread, i think thats been stated a bunch of times... B**** about what you want in here and keep it out of other threads.
I dont doubt that the 5.0 gets better gas mileage towing. Im not going to believe it until an actual ford test is performed.

Seriously? I think this is a great thread. Highly entertaining in fact. I bought the 5.0 (still waiting) cause here it was $1000 less, and I do like the throaty sound. I took both for test drives. I didn't know the sales guy had given me an Ecoboost on the second test drive, and I'll be honest, for my driving style it didn't make the difference. It may have been more spirited or more torquey (not overwhelmingly so IMO), but for where I was driving it in town I couldn't max it out anyway. Fuel economy for the Eco doesn't sound like the be all to end all. In all, I'm pretty certain there will be no buyers remorse or 'Eco envy' for me. However, I won't rule out my next truck down the road being an Ecoboost. I think Ford is definitely on the right track with its production..
